My current focus and goal as a Marine Biology student at Bangor is to evaluate strains of phytoplankton and other unicellular marine/freshwater lifeforms, revealing their geographical locations and uncovering certain chemical compounds by specific, locational variants of described species.
My tertiary goal is to work on antifouling metabolites or toxins (Fish Killer compounds) within the field of phycology as a broad accomplishment. I currently have experience in data analysis and identification methods but would like to gradually expand my capabilities through labwork and ecology fieldwork.Â
